Available Dogs

Hello, my name is Socks, although my foster family calls me Nox! I was previously adopted at 4 months old but returned to the rescue 4 months later due to a secular job change and my family decided they couldn’t give me proper care. So, I’m 8 months old now and have moved in with my foster family in Arlington WA.
My foster mom happens to be a trainer, so even though there are more rules to follow and boundaries to respect, I’m having so much fun playing with my foster fur-friends and learning new skills and better ways to communicate.
I am already potty trained with potty bells and dog doors; I recently got neutered so my hormones are still leveling out. I know how to sit, shake, lay down, go to my place or bed, and I happily go into my kennel where I eat, sleep, and chill if the family is away. I’m still learning a lot though and would benefit greatly if my forever family is able to have patience with me.
Living here and getting structure and proper exercise for my puppy energy has been perfect for me. I’m now learning how to calm down after being excited and a steady routine helps me know what to expect in my day-to-day life.
I love to run and play in the yard, snuggle with my people, and go for walks even though my leash manners aren’t the best yet. I love kids, especially if they throw the ball for me, however, I am a bigger guy and sometimes I lack spatial awareness, so please forgive me if I’m in the way or flop down on your feet. Sometimes my tail can knock things over too, but I am trying to be more aware. I do tend to have a harder time if there is food around so I will need continued practice with “leave it” and staying out of the kitchen. My foster mom says I’m super smart and a fast learner so that’s a bonus!
I also love to play with other dogs as long as they don’t try to hump me or come at me with dominance. I’m a pretty chill dude but those behaviors make me feel defensive, so, calm, friendly and playful dogs are best for me. The smallest dog I’ve been around is a Frenchie; I may need slower intros and more supervision around any dogs smaller than that. I’ve never met a cat so I’m not sure how that would go but I do get startled by tumbling leaves in the wind while also wanting to chase anything that runs. I know I’m a little goofy and hopefully that’s the quality you’ll love most about me.
Overall, I’m looking for a loving home with kids and possibly other happy, friendly dogs to play with. I’ll definitely need a family who is committed, patient, and willing to keep me accountable to the house rules, and one that can work with my energy level and overall size.
I’m just a clumsy, goofy guy looking for a family to love, is that you? If it is, please fill out an application today –

Hi, my name is Artemis, but my foster mom says my personality is so goofy that Artie is a much better fit. I am about 10 months old, neutered, and I’m being fostered in Tacoma, WA.
I am a BIG boy! I weigh about 75 pounds right now and I am still growing! My favorite daytime activities are playing with my sibling Astraea and wrestling with my foster fur-brother Charlie.
I absolutely LOVE toys and especially stuffies. I am so proud of all of my toys that I like to walk in a circle around my foster mom to show her which one I have before I go and lay down with it.
My dream forever family would have at least one more dog for me to wrestle and play with. I have been around so many dogs my whole life that a forever playmate would be the BEST! If you don’t have one, you can always adopt my sister too! She would be the perfect companion right along with me.
If you feel that I would be a great addition to your family, please ask about me! Fill out an application today. Hope to see you soon!

Please meet Kyle! He is estimated to be between 6 to 8 years old, neutered, current on his vaccines, house broken, and is being fostered in Poulsbo, WA.
Kyle is a darling, Boxer-mix who has been through the wringer. Poor Kyle got dumped at a shelter and doesn't understand why. We don’t have a clue either, as his foster mom tells us he is sweet, endearing, and has a ton of love to give. He came in pretty shut down emotionally, and it took about a week for his posture to relax from the scared, sad dude he arrived as. With a solid routine every day to follow, Kyle has blossomed, and his abandonment anxiety has lessened considerably. He isn't afraid to meet your eyes anymore and he has learned there is plenty of love to go around so he can relax around his foster fur-brothers and fur-sister.
Kyle is still a follow you everywhere, Velcro sort of guy. He goes where you go. He wants to see you, touch you, and lie at your feet. At first, he was very crabby about the other dogs coming up to his foster mom for pets, but this was behavior born of fear that his NEW GOOD THING would be taken from him. He puppy piles with his foster crew now and that "resource guarding" behavior is a thing of the past...with his pack. We expect though that his forever family will have to be patient with him as he learns *again* that there is enough love for all.
Kyle has learned the house routines well and seamlessly gets up, eats, and takes himself outside with the rest of the pack. He helps his foster mom take care of ducks, geese, and a horse with no problems or prey drive issues because ALL KYLE CARES ABOUT IS YOU. The shock of being left will likely be with him for a long time and his default is to glue himself to your side. This will make Kyle a fabulous addition to a home where someone is always there or where his person would get to take him to work. Kyle has good manners and would excel at making sure your feet are toasty under the desk in your cubicle or help you supervise your shop! If you have to leave every day, keep scrolling, 'cause Kyle will be stressed out badly by being left alone. His person(s) is his security blanket.
Kyle picked up a toy recently for the first time. He really has been in survival mode and seeing him blossom is the heartwarming reason we all do rescue. He's wiggly now. He isn't worried now, and more and more glimmers of his personality emerge every day that he gets to feeling safe and loved. He is a great dog now, we can only imagine who he'll be in a year with his people loving him and erasing his past trauma with every pet on his sweet head. Are you his people? If so, then please apply for him soon.
