MLBR Rescue Transporter Application

Ever wondered what it feels like to be a dog’s hero? 🚗🐾 Sometimes it’s as simple as giving a Boxer a safe ride from one chapter of their life to the next. As a foster-based rescue serving Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and California, we often need helping hands (and hearts) to move pups from shelters or previous owners into their foster homes.

If you love Boxers, enjoy road trips, and want to make a real difference, joining our transport team is one of the most rewarding ways to help. You’re not just giving a ride — you’re giving a Boxer a fresh start filled with love, patience, and care.

Transport Safety & Handling

Please review and check each statement:

I agree to secure all dogs in a crate or tether during transport and to never leave a car door open after a dog is loaded.

I agree to follow the route and pick up/drop off the dog at approved locations with the designated person, per rescue instructions.

I agree to transport using a crate or secure divider if I have a personal dog(s) or children in the vehicle during transport.

I understand unvaccinated puppies will remain in their crate for the entire trip.

Dogs will never be transported in an open truck bed or convertible with the top down. Windows will not be open wide enough for a dog’s head to fit through.

I will lock window controls to prevent accidental opening or closing during transport.

I understand all paperwork, supplies, donations are to stay with the dog until reaching the last transporter or foster.

I understand I am responsible for my own vehicle, fuel, ticket(s) and insurance during transports.

Things transporters should have on hand

Water and a bowl.
Spare leash and collar. (Martingales are preferred)
And treats are always highly recommended and welcomed.

Please fuel up and use the restroom before picking up the dog. In an emergency, a dog may be left in the car for no more than 5 minutes and never if the temperature is above 70°F.

Allow 15 minutes for potty breaks, water, and handoff. Please keep chats brief, as others are waiting. For questions or emergencies before, during, or after transport, contact Kristi via the number on the transport thread.

All contact numbers, meet-up locations, and handoff times are shared via our Facebook transport thread. Please do not make changes without approval, and post updates and photos to the thread.
